Legal Chiefs Get More Involved in HR, Including DEI, but Struggle to Make Progress

In-house legal departments have become leaders in company culture and employee matters, especially where diversity and inclusion is concerned, a study by FTI Consulting and Relativity released this week found.

The study found that 87% of general counsel and chief legal officers are involved in either health-related or employee-related issues within their organizations or both—with a big part of that shift due to an ever-increasing focus on diversity and inclusion.
