With Legalweek New York’s new date comes a new addition to the conference’s keynote lineup: ALM announced today that Dan Abrams, chief legal affairs anchor for ABC News, and CEO & founder of Abrams Media, will be a part of the opening keynote of Legalweek New York 2022.
Abrams will join the previously announced Don Lemon for a fireside chat titled Amplified, Polarized & Digitized: Navigating the Current State of Communication. The conversation will be led by ALM’s editorial team and is set to take place on Wednesday, March 9, at 8:30 a.m. in the New York Hilton Midtown’s main ballroom.
In addition to his well-known work with ABC News, Abrams helped found online media company Abrams Media in 2009, and hosts the cable series “Live PD” and co-hosts “Grace and Abrams,” both on the A&E network. Previously, Abrams was the co-anchor of ABC’s Nightline, the long-time chief legal correspondent for NBC News, and the host of “The Abrams Report” and “Verdict with Dan Abrams” on MSNBC.
“ALM is very excited to welcome Dan Abrams as part of the Legalweek 2022 keynote lineup. Dan’s vast experience with both the legal and journalism industries make him an outstanding addition to this year’s program, which will address the changing legal landscape and new roles that legal leaders are taking on in a post-COVID world,” said Mark Fried, chief financial officer and president, events at ALM, in a press release. “Mr. Abrams joins a speaker lineup full of the top legal professionals from the most groundbreaking corporate legal departments, law firms, and legal technology enterprises.”
Last week, ALM announced that Legalweek New York was postponed from its original Jan. 31-Feb. 3 date to now take place between Tuesday, March 8 through Friday, March 11. The conference is set to welcome more than 8,000 attendees to the show, which is returning in-person for 2022 after going virtual in 2021. Registration and a full list of speakers and sessions can be found on the Legalweek New York website.
