MetroHealth has become Ohio Visiting Nurses Association – Not-for-profit home health, hospice and mental health care provider serving 11 northeastern Ohio counties, according to a Jan. 1 expansion of formal partnership Press release.
Ohio Visiting Nurses Association (Ohio VNA) is a member located in Homedel, NJ Visit the Nurses Association Health Group (VNA Health Group), the largest independent, not-for-profit provider of home health services in New Jersey and northeastern Ohio.
To expand existing services, MetroHealth will assume majority governance roles within the Ohio VNA and its home health and hospice services, the release said.
“This partnership allows us to grow our innovative home hospital program and make it accessible to the entire region,” MetroHealth President and CEO Dr. Akram Boutros said in a provided statement. There is a shared history and commitment to serving our communities, and this partnership will ensure and strengthen that commitment.”
Under the new joint venture, MetroHealth and Ohio’s VNA can leverage services to provide better home health services through innovative care models and shared programs around quality improvement, the release notes that Ohio’s VNA has been providing services for The greater Northeast Ohio community has provided vital health care for 120 years.
“We strongly believe that in order for our home health and hospice business to succeed, we need to grow and collaborate with organizations that share our values,” said Dr. Steven Landers, President and CEO of VNA Health Group. “We will continue to find ways to to enhance our service to those in need and excited to partner with such an incredible organization with a strong, long-standing reputation.”
