University of Louisville Health (UofL Health; Louisville, Kentucky) is expanding its UofL Health-Southern Medical Center in Shepherdsville, Kentucky, according to article exist whas11.com.

The project was renamed UofL Health-South Hospital and will add two floors to the existing structure, with 40 inpatient beds, 10 intensive care unit (ICU) beds and 30 operating beds, with a maximum of 80 beds that can be retracted.

The $60 million project is scheduled to open in the spring of 2023. The facility will remain open during the construction period.
