Singapore, December 21, 2021 – Singapore startup Affyn is a blockchain-driven Metaverse project that is developing a free-to-play and game-earning mobile game with integrated geolocation and augmented reality (AR) functions.

Reimagine free games and games to earn revenue

As a Metaverse-based project with geolocation capabilities and AR mechanism, Affyn incorporates interesting concepts. Each of the characters in the game, which they call “friends”, is a non-fungible token (NFT). If you are not familiar with NFT, it can only mean that this buddy is actually yours, not the game developer. This disrupts the traditional gaming industry, and players spend thousands of hours on in-game items and currency that they don’t really own.

Building a closed-loop economy

Similar to each game having its own set of currency, Affyn’s currency is also called FYN token. The use of FYN tokens is highly versatile-in addition to the usual in-game transactions, it is gradually adopting real-world uses. By creating this integrated ecosystem, players can earn tokens virtually and use them in the real world, thereby forming a closed-loop economy that promotes the value of FYN tokens.

Ensuring a sustainable gaming economy

Affyn is one of the pioneers of the mobile Play-to-Earn model. Compared with traditional game platforms, this model aims to change the way players get value from the ecosystem. The team spent more than a year designing detailed blueprints to create a sustainable gaming economy.
