UPMC Presbyterian Church (Pittsburgh) is planning to build a new bed tower on its campus in Oakland, Pennsylvania, according to article exist University Times.
The 900,000-square-foot project will be built on the old children’s hospital site in front of UPMC Presbyterian and will include 636 beds. A roof terrace will be used as a space for public facilities, as well as a garage for 450 parking spaces.
The project team includes HGA (San Jose, California), IKM Company (Architect; Pittsburgh), and Cross association (Engineering consultant; Pittsburgh).
Construction is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2022, and the project is expected to open in the summer of 2026.
