Interestingly, there is a special connection between real crime podcasts and marijuana smoking. Or at least, many people who like one like the other. Over the past 5 years, listening to real criminal activity has been a big deal, and the popularity of podcasts is still soaring. New podcasts about various crimes, murders, serial killers, cults, etc. continue to appear. Some are serious, some are comedies, and some even introduce mysterious creatures and aliens. As a true crime fan, I know which podcasts I prefer to enjoy while smoking and doing a little crochet. So let’s take a look at the best real crime podcasts that can be enjoyed at the climax.

Last podcast on the left

I started with my personal favorite podcast, which has its own weed variety. The two gentlemen on the podcast are fans of smokers, and the podcast itself is very suitable for smoking. I like this podcast because it is fun, rich in content, and covers fascinating and diverse topics. To be honest, the host is great. Ben Kissel, Marcus Parkes, and Henry Zebrowski are all veterans of this sort of thing. The balance between Ben’s cute and powerful personality, Marcus’ excellent research skills and Henry’s bizarre and dark comedy style makes this a perfect podcast. No matter what you think about real crime, this podcast will have something you like. Sometimes I want an ordinary serial killer, maybe a classic like Richard Chase or Albert Fish. Or maybe I like cults, such as Son of God or Jonestown. Then, if you are more of an alien or mysterious fan, then here are a lot of episodes and short episodes about the strangest real crimes of recent times. This is definitely my first choice of the best real crime podcast I like to listen to.

My favorite murder

Usually considered the sister podcast to the last podcast on the left, my favorite murder is another very interesting podcast. This podcast is closely related to modern fascination with real crime, because the host makes you happy and welcomes you to this curious space. Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark sound interesting, and their friendship drive really shows. This show is fun, enthusiastic, and informative, perfect if you might want something less hardcore and more interesting, while still understanding the most serious real crimes. They also have a great book called “Keep Sexy and Don’t Be Murdered”.

Doctor Death

With this podcast, things have become a little serious and a little creepy. This is not a podcast involving various crimes in history, but follows a special case. It is deep, charming and scary. This is perfect for all my murder fans who like to get involved in mysterious events. Hearing all the evidence, discovering new information, terrible twists and turns, and occasionally being reminded that all this happened. This is a great choice for sitting, smoking, and lying in bed to be carried away by the story. This is definitely not for the faint-hearted, but I think there are not many real crimes. Get ready to hear a creepy story about greed, murder, medical lies and various other fascinating things.

Got up and disappeared again

This mysterious podcast investigates the cold case of Tara Grinstead. This podcast was originally intended to explore an unresolved murder case, and eventually became an important part of finding the truth. In 2005, the teacher and former beauty queen Tara Grinstead disappeared from her home in Georgia. For 11 years, the case did not involve any arrests, which is a complete mystery. This podcast is partly responsible for opening up new leads, and in fact two suspects were arrested in 2018. This is a fascinating and incredible story of human interest, perfect for anyone who likes a beautiful mystery and wants to follow a murderer in real life to come here justice.

Most notorious

If you like a bit of historical crime, then this is a good choice, educational and fascinating. This is another great place to make you feel comfortable, light a lamp, and relax in the night of historical serial killers, bandits and villains. Each episode brings the audience back to some major crimes in history, some are well-known, some you may never have heard of. Just as modern real crime can be exciting, it can also be a bit stressful. If you just want to be stoned and learn about some weird historical figures who messed up things, this is the ideal podcast for you.

Serial

This is one of the first podcasts of its kind, so it is very suitable for people who like classics. Unlike other podcasts, this podcast will focus on one case throughout the season. This means you can stretch your legs in the story, but you can also get some changes between seasons. This podcast not only investigates crimes, but also the procedures for investigating crimes. Therefore, if you like the technical and professional aspects of criminal investigation, this is a good choice. As you follow up, you can try to find clues, follow the investigation and learn about fascinating real crimes. Each episode will give you a deeper and deeper understanding of this mystery and bring you into the lives of the victims and their murderers. This is definitely the first choice for long-form real crime podcasts. Perfect for lively pressures that are still relaxing but will allow you to focus on the clues that appear.

No matter what kind of crime you like, if you like smoking and a little bit of murder, mystery or sheer nonsense, then please enjoy these wonderful podcasts.
