Williston, North Dakota, USA, announced on Wednesday that it has partnered with cryptocurrency ATM operator Coin Cloud to install a cryptocurrency ATM at its Williston Basin International Airport (XWA). The city wrote:

Users can also withdraw cash from their digital wallets. The city clarified that it does not act as a fund custodian or manage any crypto transactions, emphasizing that purchases and withdrawals are handled by Coin Cloud.

Cummings believes: “Traditionally, when you buy cryptocurrency on an exchange, the transaction is directly linked to your bank through a checking account, debit card, or credit card… Converting cash to cryptocurrency through DCM means that there is no identifiable The fee, a bank account or a credit card. The city’s financial director further explained that Williston partnered with Bitpay in May to “accept digital currency to pay for urban utility bills.”
