According to San Diego County fire officials, a rapidly spreading bushfire that burned in East County on Sunday was extinguished on 15 acres of land.
The fire known as the “Queen Fire” started near the Banner Queen Ranch area in Banner Grade at around 1 pm.
Fire officials said that air and ground resources have made “great progress” in stopping the fire from spreading. No buildings are threatened by fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
