On Wednesday morning, a series of hit-and-run incidents in Philadelphia resulted in the death of a woman and several injuries. A man was detained.

Police said the suspect was arrested on Third Avenue and Park Avenue near Main Street in University Town, Montgomery County, at about 6:30 on Wednesday morning.

The first hit-and-run incident occurred at about 2:10 am on Wednesday, when the police alleged that the suspect rearranged a motorcycle occupied by the two on Broad and Lombard streets. The suspect was allegedly driving a stolen Chevrolet Malibu that disappeared at midnight. 6ABC Report.

A passenger on the motorcycle was identified as a 28-year-old woman with minor bumps and bruises when she was taken to the hospital. She is classified as stable. According to the police, the other passenger was a 29-year-old male who was not injured.

Police said the car later fled the scene and hit two other pedestrians after jumping over the side of 15th Street and South Street. The driver then turned around and allegedly hit a victim lying on the ground.

The victim who was allegedly hit twice by the suspect was taken to Jefferson University Hospital and was pronounced dead at 4:45 am

According to the police, the victim was a 32-year-old woman who had just got off work at nearby Steak 48. InquirerPolice said the woman was walking with a male colleague who was able to jump out of the car.

The driver then fled the scene on foot and left the stolen vehicle in Kuan Street and South Street. KYW Report.

According to the police, the suspect subsequently stole another car and assaulted a pedestrian in the Umbria and Hermitage Street areas of Manayank around 5:30 a.m. The victim was taken to the hospital. There is no danger to life.

Police said the suspect ran into another pedestrian in Collegeville before being arrested by local law enforcement.

Neither the victim nor the suspect has been identified.
