Sweetwater was part of a pilot project in collaboration with San Diego State University this summer, which distributed 6,000 COVID-19 home test kits to a middle school. The plan is to determine whether self-testing of students’ high-risk family members will help ensure school safety.
SUHSD also reminded families that all students will receive free lunch in the 2021-2022 school year due to the extension of the USDA for students.
