NHS app showing vaccine status reaches 10 million user milestone
According to the Ministry of Health and Social Care (DHSC), the NHS app allows users to display their vaccine status and has more than 10 million users.
As the remaining restrictions are lifted across England, it is hoped that the app will help people return to work, participate in large events and clubs, and travel abroad.
DHSC said that since the launch of the Covid Pass feature (which allows people to easily show proof of vaccination) on May 17, the app has gained more than 6 million new users.
Health Minister Sajid Javid said: “As we carefully reopen, the NHS Covid Pass will enable people to prove their vaccination status when traveling abroad and support the safe reopening of places and businesses while protecting employees and the public.
“NHS applications are a great example of how technology can support us in providing healthcare.
“The app not only helps us to start doing what we like to do, it also helps us make appointments for general practitioners, view test results and medical records, and make life-saving decisions such as organ donation. This brings us a wider range of Benefits. Health system.”
