Independent MP and former Liberal Party cabinet minister Jody Wilson-Rebald said that she will not stand for another election in the next federal election.
In a letter posted online on Thursday, Wilson-Raybould said that she has decided to deal with issues that are important to her in a different location.
“This is not an easy or quick decision to make,” the letter read. “It came about through a growing awareness of my own experience in Ottawa, the insights others shared with me, and the depth of transformation that our political culture needs.”
Since 2015, Wilson-Raybould has been cycling on behalf of Vancouver Granville.
