DeSantis said that Hurricane Elsa may affect surfing buildings, emergency management preparedness

Florida is studying the “dual track”, the collapse of Surfside in Florida and Hurricane Elsa may hit South Florida in the next few days, the governor Ron DeSantis tell CNN.

He said: “We are actively monitoring the situation as we are dealing with these storms.

“But considering what we are doing on this site, we are also paying particular attention to any impact that may occur in Dade County, northeast of Miami.”

“Our emergency management department assumes that this will happen and makes the necessary preparations. Obviously, it can protect a lot of equipment. You might also hold an event in the building,” he added.
