Actor Alison Mack played a key role in the scandal-ridden cult NXIVM and was sentenced to three years in prison on Wednesday for manipulating women to become sex slaves to the spiritual leader of the organization.

Mike-best known for her role as a close friend of the young Superman in the TV series “Smallville”-has previously pleaded guilty to these charges and is expected to work with NXIVM leader Keith Lanier and assume responsibility for helping him And he was honored to establish a secret society composed of brainwashed women with his initials printed on their bodies.

In the verdict of the Brooklyn Federal Court, Mike gave up Lanier.

“I made a choice that I will regret forever,” she said, telling the judge that she was full of “remorse and guilt.”

She wrote in a letter to the court last week that dedicating herself to a master of self-improvement “is the biggest mistake and greatest regret in my life.”

She wrote: “I am sorry for those who were brought into NXIVM by me.” “I am sorry for exposing you to the evil and emotional abuse plan of a twisted man.”

On Wednesday, she again apologized to the victim in court: “From the bottom of my heart, I am sorry.”

Lawyer asks for probation

According to the Consultative Sentencing Guidelines, Mike will face imprisonment of 14 to 17 and a half years, but her legal team argued in court documents that probation or home imprisonment is more appropriate.

Thanks to Mike’s cooperation, the prosecutor agreed that any imprisonment period should be less than the guidelines.

Her lawyer wrote in court documents: “The story of the NXIVM legend and the descendants of Ms. Mike is a tragedy for all participants. But this need not and should not be the end of Alison Mike’s story.”

The 38-year-old Mike used to be a member of Lanier’s inner circle. Lanier’s followers include millionaires and actors.

The prosecutor said that she became the “master” of the “slave” and she ordered her to “work, take nude photos and in some cases have sex with Lanier.”

When the authorities approached Lanier, he and Mike and others fled to Mexico to try to reorganize the organization there. He was arrested in March 2018 and sent to the United States; a few days later, Mike was arrested.

“Ms. Mike now understands that this is the best thing that happened to her at the time,” the defense document said.

Female brands that document discussions

Court documents stated that Mack provided prosecutors with information on how Lanier encouraged the “use of derogatory and derogatory language, including racial slander, to humiliate the’slave’”.

More importantly, they said, she provided a recording of her conversation with Raniere about the brand.

Raniere told her that the brand should involve “a kind of vulnerable location type thing”, “the hands may be raised above the head, almost like being tied, like a sacrifice,”.

He said that these women “should say,’Please brand me. This will be an honor.’ or something like that.”

Lanier was sentenced to 120 years in prison last year for sex trafficking offences.
