California Valley Center (CNS)-Authorities closed down illegal cannabis cultivation operations in the Valley Center on Friday, confiscating thousands of live plants and products made from harvested cannabis.
According to officials of the sheriff, the representatives, including the special police, executed a search warrant on the plantation in the 29000 block of Cole Grade Road shortly after 7:30 in the morning.
In addition to confiscating approximately 15,000 live cannabis plants, the representative also seized 9 1/2 pounds of processed cannabis products and detained 7 people for questioning. Mike Davis said.
Davis said that the public utilities, codes, and national fish and wildlife workers who assisted in law enforcement have “discovered many violations of property (posed) direct health and safety risks, as well as fire hazards.”
“It is not uncommon for investigators to find dangerous chemicals, illegal pesticides and other dangerous materials in unauthorized cannabis cultivation sites,” the police officer said. “These hazardous materials may enter local groundwater supplies and streams, causing extreme environmental hazards.”
