Sweden ranked first in Group E with 7 points after beating Poland 3-2; Spain ranked second with 5 points after beating Slovakia in the first game.

Spain defeated Slovakia 5-0 and faced Croatia in the last 16 games of the 2020 European Cup, while Sweden scored a goal in stoppage time, beating Poland and winning the group first.
