HT: Uruguay 0-1 Chile
Eduardo Vargas’ 27th-minute strike was the only place that separated the two sides in the Group A clash in the Arena Pantanal.
So far, its share is fairly even. Uruguay has been in the lead most of the time, but it seems unable to translate their offensive intentions into actual clear opportunities, partly because they themselves wasted some prequels, and partly because of Chile’s compact and well-organized defense.
Stay tuned for the wonderful second half, Uruguay will have to go all out to get the result, they have already lost the first game and desperately need points.
On the other hand, Chile already has four points to protect, another three points will make them easily ranked above Group A, while Argentina needs to achieve a result against Paraguay in order to maintain the lead.
Don’t go anywhere! Here comes the second half…
