Police said a suspected gunman was found dead on SEPTA’s Market-Frankford Line track after shooting on a train in northeastern Philadelphia on Monday morning.
Just after 6 in the morning, SEPTA police responded to the Arrott Transportation Center in Frankfurt. A 27-year-old man on the train was shot in the arm and torso. Police said he was taken to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.
Soon after, the authorities found the body of a man who had been knocked down by a westbound train in the area of ??Frankfurt Avenue No. 4900.
A SEPTA official said that the man matched the description of the gunman and it is believed that he was shot while trying to cross a train carriage.
On Monday morning, SEPTA used a shuttle bus to transport commuters between the Arrott Transportation Center and Allegheny Station. The remaining delay is possible.
MFL: The shuttle bus service will continue to operate between Frankford TC and Allegheny stations. The train will operate between 69th Street TC and Allegheny Station. Delays are possible.
