Representative Peter Meijer said on CNN on Sunday that Green’s remarks were “undeniable.”

At the same time, the American Jewish Congress called on Green to apologize to Twitter and withdraw her comments.

The organization wrote: “You can never compare health-related restrictions with yellow stars, gas chambers and other Nazi atrocities.”

“This comparison devalues ??the Holocaust and pollutes American political speech. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene must retreat immediately and apologize.”

As of Sunday night, Change.org’s petition calling for House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy to expel Congress Green also received 39,500 signatures.
