Dating apps such as Hinge, Tinder, Match and Bumble provide incentives for people who are poked.
The White House is pushing for a new reason to slide to the right: a badge for vaccinations and a “super slide” for people who have received the coronavirus vaccine.
On Friday, the administration of US President Joe Biden (Joe Biden) stated that it will work with dating apps to demonstrate the benefits of shooting.
Apps such as Hinge, Tinder, Match, and Bumble provide special rewards for people who roll up their sleeves, including badges that show the status of vaccinations and premium content for free use. BLK and Chispa will improve the image of vaccinated people and make them more visible in potential matches. OkCupid even allows users to screen out potential partners based on whether they have received the vaccine.
The White House said the apps will also guide users to learn how to get vaccinated, including linking them with educational materials and information on how to find the nearest vaccination location. The government pointed out that OkCupid’s research found that people who have been vaccinated or plan to get vaccinated received a 14% increase in matches on the app.
“We finally found one thing that made us more attractive-vaccinations,” said Andy Slavitt, a White House COVID-19 consultant.
Beware: Just like the height or age claimed by a person who might be dating, there is no way to verify the vaccination status of a dating app user.
US President Joe Biden hopes to achieve his goal of providing at least one dose to 70% of adult Americans by July 4. The US government is stepping up its efforts to maintain demand for the COVID-19 vaccine. 60.5% of the adult population.
Other promotions include free ride-sharing companies Uber and Lyft to and from vaccination sites, company gifts and national lotteries, which provide potential cash rewards for lucky individuals to be vaccinated.
According to data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, incentives have increased the proportion of first vaccinations from a low of about 551,000 per day to more than 630,000.
