Dallas – Ford is recalling thousands of previously recalled vehicles over an axle issue that may have not been fixed with prior repairs. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the recall covers an estimated 342,000 Windstar minivans that were recalled in 2010. The recall was initiated due to axle cracks that could result in failure and lead to an accident.
The second recall has been initiated due to the possibility that a reinforcement bracket from the first recall was not properly installed. Ford says that it has received reports of non-injurious accidents, but did not disclose a total number.
Ford also recently stated that it would be recalling 37,000 Ford F-150 pickup trucks with the model year 2015 due to an adaptive cruise control issue. Dealers are reportedly expected to update the software to correct the issue.
