Conroe, TX – A recent three-vehicle crash in Conroe resulted in the deaths of a family of four. ABC 7 News reported that the weekend crash occurred in the afternoon in the eastbound lanes of SH 105. The individuals killed have been identified as Roland Sedlmeier, 49, Melinda Sedlmeier, 42, Harley Sedlmeier, 6, and Sofie Sedlmeier, 4.
Initial reports suggest the driver of a 2011 Hyundai struck the rear of the 2001 Toyota the family was traveling in, resulting in the vehicle spinning and crossing into the eastbound lanes. The Toyota was subsequently hit by a Jeep Wrangler after the driver was unable to avoid the crash.
A vigil was held for the deceased victims outside of the family’s home on Monday.
Neighbor John Tricoli is quoted as stating of the family, “As a whole, very family oriented. Many times they would go on outings, all four of them together.”
