Washington, D.C. – The Federal Communications Commission recently released its new net neutrality rules. As reported by WebProNews, the rules were announced several days ago, and come after a call from President Barack Obama requesting a reclassification of Internet service Title II of the Telecommunications Act.
A range of responses followed the release of the rules from multiple interested parties.
The release reportedly caused the website to crash. At the time of the WebProNews report the FCC was displaying on its website, “The normal FCC website is temporarily unavailable due to technical difficulties. We are working to restore the full FCC website back to normal as soon as possible.”
A policy summary of FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai has also since been released stating, “statement dissenting from the FCC’s decision to adopt President Obama’s plan to regulate the Internet.”
