Los Angeles – A woman who has been referred to in the media as the “nanny from hell” may now be ready to move, after refusing to leave the home of a California family she no longer works for. As reported by Reuters, Ralph and Marcella Bracamonte say the woman, 64-year-old Diane Stretton, has refused to leave after breaking their live in, work arrangement, but recently told their lawyer she could be out by July 4.
The Bracamontes say Stretton was hired to watch their children and do chores, and agreed to compensation of room and board. They claim she stopped working; however, after a short period of time due to health complaints. The couple also says she threatened to file a lawsuit against them for wrongful termination amid other complaints.
The family has since begun an eviction process for Stretton’s removal from their home. In accordance with California law, a formal eviction is required in some cases after a person has established residency, police say.
