Alabama – A mother whose child died after being left in a hot car by his father reportedly researched hot car deaths prior to the incident. As reported by ABC News, the police documents say both parents had conducted similar research online before their 22-month old son, Cooper Harris, was killed.

A newly released warrant is quoted in the news report as reading, “Leanna Harris, the child’s mother was also questioned regarding the incident and made similar statements regarding researching in car deaths and how it occurs.”

Cooper’s father Justin Harris, has been charged in the child’s death. He has stated he conducted Internet searches for items like child deaths inside vehicles out of fear of such an occurrence happening.

Leanna Harris has not been named a suspect by police or taken into custody regarding the case.
