Los Angeles – Jenny McCarthy said she was rejected by the popular dating show “The Bachelorette” when she tried to get on the program following her divorce. As reported by Us Weekly, the co-host of “The View” said on the show that she even tried getting her agent to call the ABC network, but the plan failed.

McCarthy is quoted as stating on “The View,” of her attempt, “No one knows that… When I got a divorce, I was lonely. I needed to be loved.”

McCarthy continued, “I was single and I loved TV… Put those together and I thought, ‘Brilliant!” Her agent was told however, that the program was not using celebrities at the time.

McCarthy, 41, is currently dating New Kids on the Block singer Donnie Wahlberg, 44.
