Michigan – A former employee of a Dearborn Family Dollar store has been arraigned in the killings of two other employees. As reported by the Huffington Post, suspect Lavere Bryant maintained his innocence in the fatal shootings of Brenna Machus and Joseph Orlando, both 20, last week.

Among the charges that have been brought against Bryant, 34, are first-degree murder, armed robbery, and unlawful imprisonment. He has been ordered to be held without bond.

Family Dollar spokeswoman Bryn Winburn is quoted in the report as stating to the Detroit Free Press, “We are saddened by the loss of Joseph and Brenna and our hearts go out to their families and friends… We have a strong, tight-knit team in Detroit, and our focus is on taking care of them right now as we all work to understand what happened.”
