Lancaster, PA — An SUV collided with a horse-and-buggy, injuring an adult and four young children on Friday, June 28, 2013 in the Amish region of central Pennsylvania. The automobile accident occurred in Salisbury Township around 8:20 p.m., reported CBS News.
According to officials, the SUV struck the horse-drawn buggy as it was pulling out of a driveway, which ejected all of the occupants of the buggy upon impact.
The buggy’s driver, 27-year-old Samuel Stoltzfoos, along with three children and an infant were taken to an area hospital for medical treatment.
The driver, infant and a 3-year-old reportedly sustained moderate injuries, while a 2-year-old and another 3-year-old suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the SUV was uninjured in the wreck.
Investigations into the accident are underway.
