New York – A gospel singer has filed a lawsuit against fast food chain McDonald’s over glass she purportedly found in her chicken sandwich. As reported by The Huffington Post, Jacqueline Simpson, 52, filed the lawsuit Friday alleging the incident ruined her voice.

Simpson claims she bit into the piece of glass while eating a sandwich at a New York McDonalds in 2010. In court documents she says she has been left unable to sing soprano.

Paul Goodman, who owns and operates multiple McDonald’s restaurants in Manhattan, is quoted in the report as stating in response to the allegations, “Rest assured I take these matters very seriously…Providing safe food and beverages is a top priority at my restaurant. Upon learning about this claim, I took immediate action to gather the facts and began an investigation into the matter. As this is a pending legal matter, it would [be] inappropriate to comment further.”
