Guam – A man has been arrested for multiple stabbings in Guam, after which two people were left dead. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Chad Ryan Desoto, 21, of Tamuning, is facing multiple charges after allegedly stabbing people in a shopping area after crashing his vehicle.

Ashley Quichocho, 18, of Dededo,, who witnessed the incident, is quoted by the AP as stating, “He started stabbing someone, and I started freaking out… He was just running back and forth stabbing people.”

A motive for the occurrence has not yet been released by authorities.

Guam Gov. Eddie Calvo is quoted in the report as issuing the statement about the incident, “This was an isolated incident — something that just doesn’t happen in our community… We are shocked, we are grieving with the families, and we extend our deepest condolences to those hurt.”

Desoto has been charged with murder, attempted murder, and aggravated assault in connection with the multiple stabbings.
