Virginia – A bus driver has been found guilty on charges stemming from a crash that killed four passengers and injured several others in Virginia last year. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Kin Yiu Cheung was convicted on four counts of manslaughter after several witnesses testified that his driving had been erratic prior to the accident in which he hit an embankment.

Passenger Andrew Jennings is quoted by the AP as testifying about the crash, “It was like a nightmare. I remember it like it was yesterday…I woke up to people screaming, the bus was flipping, it was completely dark.”

A sentencing hearing is set for Jan. 23 in which Cheung could receive a prison sentence of up to 40 years.
