Los Angeles, CA – The parents of Ashlee and Jessica Simpson have reportedly filed for divorce. As reported by People, a rep for Tina and Joe Simpson released a statement Wednesday, citing there was no third-party involvement in their decision to split, as rumors about the reason for their divorce circulated.
A rep for the couple is quoted by People as stating, “It is an amicable split and there is no third party involved… Any other related allegations are completely false. The family appreciates your respect for their privacy at this time.”
The Simpsons have reportedly been married for 35 years.
