Manasquan, NJ — A diving accident about 20 miles off Manasquan Sunday, March 18, 2012, has left a man dead. The accident occurred around 10 a.m. aboard the Gypsy Blood diving vessel, which had taken an excursion off the Manasquan Inlet, reported NJ.com.

The Coast Guard launched a 47-foot motor life boat crew after being alerted by the Gypsy Blood crewmembers that a diver was unresponsive.

The cause of his death is unknown at this time.

This is the second accident involving the Gypsy Blood diving vessel since 2008, the Coast Guard reported.

Investigations into the death are underway. Details surrounding the accident are being withheld at this time.
