Boulder, CO — About 3,0000 Single and Double Jogging Strollers by Kelty, a division of American Recreation Products, are being recalled for fall and injury hazards the defective strollers pose to consumers. Kelty and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the nationwide recall on February 23, 2012.

The recall was issued after discovering that the front wheel can come loose during use and cause the stroller to tip over, which poses a fall and injury hazard to young children and adults pushing the stroller.

“This recall involves Kelty Speedster Swivel Deluxe single jogging strollers and Swivel Deuce double jogging strollers. The strollers have an aluminum frame and a cloth seat with a canopy. They were sold in color combinations blue/gray and orange/gray. ‘Kelty Kids’ is embroidered on the front of the stroller in the child’s leg area. The following model numbers are included in this recall. The model number and stroller name are printed on a tag inside the stroller’s seat area,” reported the CPSC.

The following model numbers are included in this recall:

• Kelty Swivel Deluxe (single jogging stroller) Model Numbers: 20090116, 20090116B, 20650411BLU, 20650411CU

• Kelty Swivel Deuce (double jogging stroller) Model Numbers: 20090216, 20650611

Consumers are advised to contact Kelty for a free updated assembly and maintenance instructions.
