Amherst, NY — A collision involving a Border Patrol vehicle left three people with injuries, including one who sustained serious head trauma, on Saturday night, February 11, 2012. The automobile accident occurred on Youngmann Memorial Highway around 7 p.m., reported Buffalo News.
A 2001 Mitsubishi and the Border Patrol vehicle were reportedly traveling in the same direction when the accident occurred. The details surrounding the accident and how it occurred are unknown at this time.
The Eggertsville Hose Company had to extricate the occupants of the Mitsubishi from their vehicle.
Responding emergency crews rushed the driver of the Mitsubishi, Evenly Terry, 28, of Williamsport, Pa., to Erie County Medical Center for treatment of back and abdomen injuries. Her passenger, Robert Brown, 28, also from Williamsport, sustained head injuries and underwent surgery at EMC.
The driver of the Border Patrol vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses are being asked to contact the Amherst police at 689-1311.
Investigations are underway.
