Sioux Falls, SD — An inmate at a South Dakota prison can’t stand being associated with “Dirty Jobs’” main man Mike Rowe, so he is now suing the TV star, because he too is named Mike Rowe and he allegedly copyrighted the name earlier this year, reported TMZ.
Mike Rowe (the prisoner) asserts that Mike Rowe (the TV star) has infringed on his copyrighted name and has no right to use it.
The lawsuit claims that their shared name has resulted in a tough life behind bars, filled with ridicule and name calling like “Dirty Jobs” and “Dirtiest Man.”
Mike Rowe (the prisoner) also has a huge problem with the celebrity’s endorsements, in which he stated: “Lee Jeans states Mike Rowe wears Lee Jeans or [is] for them. I do not wear nor have ever worn Lee Jeans and further, I am not for them.”
In addition, Rowe (the prisoner) asserts he is not a fan of Viva Towels either.
Rowe is serving time in prison for a DUI-related offense.
Rowe (the celebrity) has yet to comment on the pending litigation.
