Chandler, AZ — A fiery crash involving two tanker trucks left one driver dead Wednesday morning, November 9, 2011, along Interstate 10. The fatal truck accident occurred around 7:45 a.m. on westbound I-10, reported MSNBC.

Details surrounding the wreck are limited, but it is reported that a diesel and milk truck were involved in the wreck.

The milk truck reportedly rear-ended the diesel tanker, which was carrying 7,700 gallons of diesel gas byproduct.

The subsequent fire was so intense that officials had to evacuate at least two hotels and businesses alongside I-10, including a K-12 charter school that was closed for the day due to the crash.

The fire burned for nearly two hours before fire crews were able to move in, and put the blaze out.

The driver of the milk truck, who remains unidentified, was killed in the crash. The driver of the diesel truck was not injured in the collision.

Investigations into the fatal tanker crash are underway.
