Memphis, TN — An 11th grader at Memphis Junior Academy is behind bars after he brutally stabbed his high school principal to death in a classroom on Wednesday, August 10, 2011. Suzette York, 49, was found around 11 a.m. in a pool of blood by a teacher at the school, reported the New York Daily News.
Eduardo Marmolejo, 17, admitted to police that he stabbed his high school principal multiple times because “he did not like her and she made him angry,” cops said.
Marmolejo reportedly has been planning to kill York since May 2011, after learning that she would be returning to the Memphis Junior Academy.
Responding emergency crews pronounced York dead at the scene, while Marmolejo was arrested at the school and taken to a juvenile detention center. He is currently facing a charge of first-degree murder.
Police stated that the teenager had planned on killing York Wednesday morning because he knew that he and York would be alone inside of the classroom.
Investigations into the brutal murder are underway.
