Oneonta, NY — A former Hartwick College student has filed a lawsuit against the school after he was hazed while pledging Alpha Delta Omega, leading him to drop out of the college. The lawsuit was filed in a Brooklyn court and names the college, the fraternity and seven fraternity members as defendants, reported UPI.
The plaintiff, Michael Warren filed the lawsuit after he allegedly sustained physical and emotional abuse while pledging the fraternity at Hartwick College.
Warren claims he was paddled on his rear and put in bathroom stall with five other pledges for a night, with loud music and strobe lights.
Warren reportedly lost his scholarship at Hartwick when he left the college and enrolled at Hofstra University in the New York suburbs.
A criminal case is pending.
