Richardson, TX — Lennox Industries Inc. and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) have voluntarily recalled about 440 garage heaters for fire hazards. The CPSC announced the product recall on April 14, 2011.
The product recall was issued after discovering that some heaters were made without a required flame rollout switch, which is used as a back-up device that shuts down the heater in the event of a heater failure. The missing switch poses a fire risk to consumers.
This recall involves Lennox garage heaters with heating capacity, model number, and serial number listed below. The brand name “Lennox,” the model number and the serial number can be found on the nameplate located inside the control cabinet,” reported the CPSC press release.

• Heating Capacity: 100,000 BTUH
