San Diego, CA — About 40,500 Troy the Activity Trucks were voluntarily recalled in the United States as well as 1,900 toys in Canada for choking hazards the toy poses. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Infantino LLC announced the product recall on April, 4, 2011.

The product recall was issued after the discovery that the plastic beads on the activity truck’s beads runs can detach, which poses a choking hazard to young children.

“This recall involves ‘Troy the Activity Truck,’ which is blue, red and yellow with plastic star, circle and heart beads attached to the bead runs on the back of the truck and has a face on the front. ‘Infantino’ is printed on the front of the toy truck. Model number 153-210, 206-110 or 506-110C is printed underneath the truck. When its switch is turned on, the truck plays music and the back wheels spin,” reported the CPSC press release.

Consumers are advised to contact Infantino for a free replacement toy.

For more information concerning the product recall, consumers can contact Infantino toll-free at (888) 808-3111 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. PT Monday through Friday, or visit their website at http://service.infantino.com.
