Salt Lake City Rollover Accident: 1 killed, 1 Critically Injured in Holladay

Salt Lake City, UT—A rollover accident in Holladay claimed the life of woman and critically injured two others on Thursday, July 15, 2010. The fatal accident took place just before 10 p.m., near the intersection of 6200 South and Holladay Boulevard (2800 East), as reported by the Salt Lake Tribune.

Unified Police officials reported that it appeared the car was traveling southbound when it suddenly veered to the right and drove onto the sidewalk. The vehicle then scrapped against trees and a rock wall, before striking a boulder and going airborne, rolling and landing on its roof.

A 38-year-old South Salt Lake woman, who was the front-seat passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and backseat passenger survived the wreck, but suffered broken bones and internal injuries. The surviving victims were rushed to Intermountain Medical Center for treatment. They are reportedly in critical but stable condition.

Police officials are currently withholding the identities of those who were involved in the crash.

Police officials are conducting a full investigation into the fatal accident.
