TV producer Bruce Beresford-Redman detained in Cancun, Mexico for suspicions surrounding the death of his wife.

Cancun, Mexico— The producer for the hit TV shows “ Survivor” and “Pimp My Ride,” has been detained in Mexico on suspicions that he was involved in his wife’s death while vacationing in the resort city of Cancun. The body of his wife was found on Thursday, April 8, 2010 in a sewer at the Moon Palace resort where they were staying, as reported by MSNBC.

Bruce Beresford-Redman was detained on Thursday, following the grizzly discovery of Monica Beresford-Redman’s body. A security guard at the hotel reported that he had seen the couple arguing on Monday night. Several other people at the hotel also corroborated the guards reports, stating they heard them arguing from inside their hotel room. Police officials found that Beresford-Redman had scratches on his neck, possibly clues that there was some sort of altercation involved.

Beresford-Redman told police officers that his wife went shopping and never returned, which subsequently caused him to file a missing persons report. Just days later they found her lifeless body. Mexican police officials are currently conducting a full investigation into the mysterious death of Mrs. Beresford-Redman. The cause of death has yet to be determined. Bruce has undergone toxicology tests to determine if drugs were involved.
