News for Wisconsin auto accident attorneys- Crash involving Ford pickup truck caused one fatality.

Cuba City, WI—A fatal head-on collision occurred in Grant County, Wisconsin on Saturday, April 3, 2010, killing a Cuba City man and injuring his 10-month-old son. The motor vehicle collision (MVC), which involved a mid-size car and a pickup truck, happened on Wisconsin Highway 80, otherwise known as State Trunk Highway 80, according to information provided by the Wisconsin State Journal.

Authorities from the Grant County Sheriff’s Department reported a 23-year-old motorist, identified as Christopher Becker, driving a 2002 Chevy Malibu southbound on Highway 80 around 2 p.m. when he crossed the center line for unknown reasons. Upon doing so, his vehicle struck a northbound Ford pickup truck, which had been pulling a trailer at the time. The driver of the pickup truck was identified as 58-year-old Mark Dailey.

Emergency medical services (EMS) crews seemingly responded to the scene to transport those injured in the motor vehicle accident to area hospitals for treatment. Unfortunately, Becker was ejected on impact of the crash and succumbed to his severe injuries at the scene. Medical personnel transported his 10-month-old son Ashland Becker to Southwest Health Center to be treated for his undisclosed injuries. Dailey was taken to Southwest as well.

Reports noted the infant was in a car seat when the pickup truck-involved accident occurred. Also, while alcohol and speed were apparently ruled out as potential factors in the fatal two-vehicle collision, a full investigation is expected to be underway.
