Bus accident lawyer alert- A bicyclist was injured after being hit by an RTD bus in Lafayette, CO.

Lafayette, CO—For the third time since Saturday, a Regional Transportation District (RTD) bus was involved in a collision that resulted in injuries. An RTD bus hit a cyclist on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at the Lafayette Park-and-Ride, near Highway 287 and South Boulder Road around 9:45 p.m., as reported by KDVR.

According to police officials, the RTD bus was making a left turn when the bus hit 43-year-old Marvin Webb, who was riding his bike. It hasn’t been determined whether the bus driver or the bicyclist was at fault for the wreck. Webb was airlifted by a medical helicopter to Denver Health Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. He is currently listed in critical condition.

The RTD has since turned over the videotapes from the bus to police, so that they could continue their investigation into the wreck. The RTD reported that since Saturday, bus drivers have been repeatedly reminded to focus on safety.

On Saturday, the first chain of collisions occurred when an RTD ran a red light and caused a fatal three-vehicle collision. On Monday, an elderly man was hit and killed near Peoria and Mississippi by a RTD bus. Investigations concerning all three crashes are ongoing. Charges are pending against the RTD driver involved in the fatal multiple vehicle wreck.
