San Bernardino, CA—Thirty-nine cases of Pepe’s Louisiana Hot Gigante Cracklins, 3,537 cases of 7-Select Louisiana Hot Onion Rings, and 420 cases of Rudolph’s Louisiana Hot OnYums are being recalled by Rudolph Foods due to an undeclared ingredient, milk, which could pose an allergy or food sensitivity hazard, as reported by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) http://www.fda.gov/.

The Pepe’s Louisiana Hot Gigante Cracklins were distributed throughout Southern California, while 7-Select Louisiana Hot Onion Rings and Rudolph’s Louisiana Hot OnYums were distributed throughout California, Nevada, Oregon, Arizona, and Washington State. The FDA reported, “the products being recalled are the 3.5 oz. Pepe’s Louisiana Hot Gigante Cracklins with UPC # 0-24622-51131-7 and code date March 19, 2010; 1 5/8 oz. 7-Select Louisiana Hot Onion Rings with UPC # 0-52548-05785-5 and code dates February 26, 2010 through April 30, 2010; and 8 oz. Rudolph’s Louisiana Hot OnYums with UPC # 0-24622-57079-6 and code dates February 5, 2010 and March 12, 2010. Please reference the 4-digit manufacturing codes which includes an “s”, located beneath the sell by date, for affected products.” At this time no illnesses have been reported in connection with the recalled products. The recall was prompted after noticing that the manufacturer put the incorrect packaging on the products, which did not indicate the presence of the milk ingredient. Consumers who have purchased the recalled products are advised to return the products at the place of purchase to receive a full refund.
