CPSC alerts product liability lawyers- Redline Conquest Pro Cyclocross bicycles were recalled.

Seattle, WA—The Seattle Bike Supply of Kent, Washington have recalled nearly 350 of its 2010 Redline Conquest Pro Bicycles and Framesets after the discovery of a serious injury risk. The CPSC and Seattle Bike Supply announced the voluntary recall on January 12, 2010, as reported by the CPSC.

All 2010 Redline Conquest Pro Cyclocross bicycles and framesets were recalled after the firm became aware that the bicycle’s fork legs can separate from the fork crown and cause the rider to lose control, which posed a risk of serious injury if the rider fell. The recalled product was sold in pearl white/blue and has aluminum frames with carbon fiber forks and aluminum steerer tubes. The Redline Conquest Pro Cyclocross bicycles were sold at bicycle specialty stores across the country from August 2009 and November 2009 for about $1,900 for the bicycle and about $550 for the frameset. All consumers who have purchased the recalled bicycles and framesets are advised to discontinue use immediately. Free inspections and fork replacement can be obtained by contacting their local Redline bicycle dealer.
