California truck wreck attorney alerts- A fatal fiery wreck occurred when a Ferrari slammed into a tow truck.

Newport Beach, CA—A Ferrari jumped a median and slammed into a flatbed tow truck causing a fiery wreck along the Pacific Coast Highway. One person was killed and three others were injured on Thursday night, December 24, 2009 around 5:15 p.m. between Bayshore Drive and Jamboree Road, as reported by KTLA.

The Newport Beach Police Department reported that they are unsure what caused the luxury car to loose control, jump a median, and slam into an oncoming truck, which ignited a fire. Speed appears to be a contributing factor of the fatal wreck. The suspected driver of the Ferrari, a male, was rushed to a nearby hospital by responding emergency medical services (EMS) teams for treatment of his severe burns he sustained in the fiery wreck. A passenger of the Ferrari, Ralph Abinader, 24, of Huntington Beach, was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene. The driver of the tow truck, a male employee of Blairs Towing, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated a local hospital and released. A female passenger of the truck was also taken to an area hospital and also treated for non-life threatening injuries. The wreck was apparently so violent that the Ferrari broke into several pieces. Police officials are investigating the deadly wreck. No charges have been filed at this time.
