Nevada SUV accident lawyers alert-A 2007 GMC Yukon injured a California boy on the sidewalk of Las Vegas Boulevard.

Las Vegas, NV—A boy walking down the sidewalk on the Las Vegas Strip was seriously injured when a SUV jumped the curb and hit the boy. The SUV crash happened on Thursday, October 8, 2009 around 7:00 a.m., on Las Vegas Boulevard South near Mandalay Bay, as reported by the Las Vegas Sun.

The Metro Police Fatal Investigation Unit responded to the scene of a crash where a dark blue 2007 GMC Yukon hit a 9-year-old boy. The Yukon, driven by Calvin Nelson, 55, of Las Vegas was traveling northbound on Las Vegas Blvd in the far right lane, when he drifted to the east from his lane, hit a curb, and jumped onto the east sidewalk. The SUV continued to travel northbound on the sidewalk and hit the Chula Vista, California boy. The critically injured boy was rushed by emergency medical services (EMS) crews to University Medical Center’s pediatric trauma unit for treatment of his life-threatening injuries. Nelson was also transported by EMS teams to the hospital for treatment. In addition, Nelson was arrested by police officials and was booked into the Clark County Jail for the crash. The SUV crash is currently under investigation by police officials.
